Take your pupils on a school trip to Parc Astérix

Taking your pupils on a school trip is the chance to give them an educational experience in a different setting.

An excellent idea for a secondary school trip – your indomitable pupils will be delighted to discover the Gaulish village!

Education, organisation and safety are what it’s all about. Parc Astérix is here to help teachers give the kids a blast without any hitches!

STEER CLEAR OF DRAMA BY DEVISING A STRATEGY AS SOLID AS VERCINGETORIX’S SHIELD!

Like the druid Getafix, often the voice of reason among the rowdy villagers, or Vitalstatistix, who rules the Gaulish village from the top of his shield, we recommend that teachers hold a “village meeting” to present the rules that pupils must follow for their safety during their school trip.

Some Gauls prefer action like Obelix or Fulliautomatix the blacksmith, while others avoid conflict, like Cacofonix the bard, who only swears by his poetry and music. Just like them, not all pupils will be into wild rides and loop-de-loops. So it’s important to find activities to make everyone happy. No worries! Parc Astérix has something for everyone, whatever their vibe: divide the kids into two groups (each supervised by at least one adult), one to enjoy our thrill rides like By Toutatis!, Osiris Convolvulis, Justforkix or Thunder 2 Zeus, and the other to enjoy our gentler attractions, like Menhir Express, The Pirate’s Revenge - The Big Splash or The “Hurrah” Trail.

That’s not all, the indomitable Gauls are easily recognisable from afar. From a pirate ship’s mast, or the Roman legion tents. It’s important for everyone to be able to find your group too: if you don’t have a school uniform, agree on something you can wear to find each other easily. The same colour t-shirt for example. You can also agree on a meeting point when you exit each attraction to avoid losing one of your Gauls along the way!

A SCHOOL TRIP TO PARC ASTÉRIX: A CHANCE TO BOND

Meals are sacred for the Gauls. Especially when there’s wild boar on the menu! Gather all your pupils at lunchtime for a friendly banquet among classmates, like the banquets at the end of Asterix and Obelix’s comic book adventures (remember to bring a picnic and snacks). You will find several picnic areas inside the park. You can also have lunch in the shaded areas outside the park, by the coach parking spaces.

And afterwards, you’ll need time for your lunch to go down. That’s a chance for everyone to try a calmer activity like our shows and entertainment.

Check the park’s practical information page to help you organise your school trip – toilets, first aid point, meeting points, picnic areas, attractions, shops etc. You’ll find all the information you need… And for group outings with more than 20 people, like secondary school trips, contact us directly.
