Meet Cacofonix at Parc Astérix
Cacofonix, the bard of Asterix and Obelix’s village, is one of the main characters created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. What is he famous for? He’s extremely bad at singing! This recurring character appeared in the very first comic book, Asterix the Gaul, in 1961. You can find him around the park, and you’ll have many opportunities to meet him during your stay.
Looking for Cacofonix at Parc Astérix
Blond-haired and medium height, Cacofonix has a particularly large nose. You will also recognise his clothes – he wears a blue and white checkered top, white breeches, blue moccasins and a red cape. He has a strong propensity for solitude and tends to isolate himself in his hut perched high up in a tree. That’s where he composes his songs... that only he appreciates.
But Cacofonix is a character that everyone in the village loves. The druid Getafix even says that he is “as good a friend as he is a bad singer”.
