Planning your stay at Parc Astérix with children also means thinking about all the activities you can do together. Did you know? The Park has four play areas for the little ones that two-, three- or even five-year-olds will love. If you’re planning your adventures, be sure to explore them all so you don’t miss out on anything.
Don’t miss Parc Astérix’s four play areas
Parc Astérix has four different play areas that will delight children of all ages:
The Sanglier d’Or playground: this large area featuring a huge golden boar looks like a treasure hunt, with medals hidden along a path strewn with playful traps. Children aged two and over can let off steam to their heart’s content. There are training challenges worthy of the most daring Gauls. They can test their observational skills, agility and strength on three courses of increasing difficulty:
- The ‘Marcassin’ or young wild boar stage for children aged 3 to 6, a miniature replica of the higher levels
- The ‘Sanglier d’argent’ or silver boar level: an area for children aged 5 to 10, with a giant tree to climb
- The ‘Sanglier d’or’ or golden boar level for daring Gauls aged 4 and over, where their courage will be put to the test on a climbing frame bearing the image of a boar.
The Viking playground: it’s time to train to become as strong as a Viking. And there’s nothing better than this play area in the shape of a Viking longship, with a giant slide and wobbly footbridge. Children aged 2, 3 and even 5 are all welcome.
- Panoramix Play Area: head to La Forêt d’Idéfix to meet the little dog’s friends. What will you find there? An astonishing trail through the trees, with lots of animals that the littlest ones will love. Children can safely head off to meet birds, butterflies and even wild boar from a very young age.
Petit Chêne Play Area: set in the heart of La Forêt d’Idéfix, nature lovers can explore the flora and fauna of Gaul on the back of a wild boar. They’ll go from nets to slides and play equipment of all kinds amidst the little Gaulish huts, with plenty of laughter guaranteed.

Activities for children aged 2 and over

The activities for children aged 2 and over include the Le Petit Train. Situated in the Roman zone, it takes you on a little trip among the centuries-old oak trees. Because, of course, that’s where the druids collect their most precious ingredients for successful potions. And maybe your child would like to drive the train? That’s an even more exciting experience.
Another popular activity for children aged 2 and over is the Le Mini Carrousel in the Viking zone. They can choose between a horse, a swan, a camel or why not the colourful coach? There’s something for everyone! It’s the perfect time to pretend to be a princess or a knight.

Your children aged 3 and over will love these activities

One of the rides children especially love at Parc Astérix is the Les Petites Chaises Volantes. They’ll twirl around and become professional acrobats from the comfort of their seats. A moment of pure pleasure awaits them in the Viking zone.
If they’ve enjoyed being up high, they’ll also want to try out L’Escadrille des As, suitable for those 90 cm tall or above. Seated aboard their aircraft, they will operate the levers and take to the skies with the Patrouille de Gaule. This ride is also in the Viking zone and children love it.
And for a ride in the Gaulish zone, jump straight into the Lavomatix and be tossed around like bundles of washing in tubs of detergent. However old your children are, they’ll be clamouring for another go, you’ll see.

Are your children aged 5 or over? There are plenty of activities in store

Parc Astérix is literally bursting at the seams with activities, shows and attractions for children aged 5 and over. Why not try out the infernal Enigmatix: a free-fall ride that children of all ages will want to do over and over again.
And on Aérodynamix in the Gaulish zone, they can fly like a bird, but... on funny propeller bikes. The faster they pedal, the higher they rise. It’s a 100% fun activity with a sporty twist that parents and children are sure to love.
For a bit of fresh air and a laugh, head for Hydrolix, the little boat that goes all the way back to the source of the river, as well as Étamine: you’ll be spinning, spinning and spinning until the potion is perfectly mixed!
Still wondering what there is for you and your children to do? You can measure the littlest ones at reception and get a wristband for their height that shows which attractions they will be safe on. And on top of that, you can put your phone number on the magic wristband!
